In May, the University of São Paulo (USP) promoted the symposium on Public Policies to Fight Hunger, through the PRCEU with support of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IEA), bringing together researchers working in the subject for exchanging experiences and presenting projects that can contribute to effective and lasting actions. Prof Mary Gasalla was a guest speaker at the session “The cry of hunger: alternatives to public policies for sustainable food”, and presented the lecture “The vital role of aquatic food in changing food systems”.

The event had more than 3000 participants including relevant authorities.
