The event: "Geopolitics of Fisheries and Latin American Food Sovereignty", organized by the Alte. Thiers Fleming team hold an interesting debate between professors André Roberto Martin (DG-USP), Irineia Maria Braz Pereira Senise (FIS), Mary Gasalla (IO-USP) and Sueli Angelo Furlan (DG-USP). The most recent events regarding Chinese predatory fishing off the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Ecuador, Peru and Argentina, and its possible expansion to the limits of the Brazilian EEZ, were discussed, as well as the position of Brazil in protecting the South Atlantic and in combating illegal fishing. Geopolitical, Political and Environmental parallels of such events for the Latin American Food Sovereignty were woven, with mediation by Yuri Freitas Marcondes (DG-USP) and broadcast by the FFLCH-USP channel.
