The study in question was developed at LabPesq, together with the Postgraduate Program in Oceanography at IOUSP, with support from FAPESP and Capes, and was part of the context of the international project GULLS (Global Learning for Local Solutions: Reducing the Vulnerability of Communities dependent on the sea), also financed by FAPESP and the Belmont Forum.
