On February 19, 2020, the University of Tokyo hosted the International Workshop on Fisheries Reform: Building resilience in coastal fisheries through fisheries management. The event took place at the Nakashima Toichiro Memorial Hall, at the UoT campus, in Japan.

Prof. Mary Gasalla was a guest speaker, presenting her own perspectives in the international debate, also supported by the Environmental Defense Fund and several colleagues from 8 countries that enriched the interesting discussions on resilience and the necessary reforms in fisheries management, as well as on the importance of both science-based and traditional knowledge options. It was a honor for LabPesq to join such a qualified team.
