In early February, Prof. Mary Gasalla participated in the All Atlantic Research Forum: From Pole to Pole event, at the European Commission's headquarters in Brussels (Belgium).

Days before, the first workshop of the AANChoR project took place in the same city, where she actively collaborates in Working Group (WP3) on Capacity Building, currently led by German researchers. Also from IOUSP, Profa. Olga Sato leads WP5 on data management.

The Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology (MCTIC/Brazil) participates in the organization of the AANChOR project and follows the insertion of Brazil, following the rules of the Belém agreement with the European Union, Brazil and South Africa.

The work to produce a proposal for joint actions took place throughout 2020, with a final result receiving a positive evaluation by the program's coordinators and funders. 

In September 2020, still virtually, the Brazilian entities met with the MCTIC, an occasion that counted on the participation of both professors from IOUSP.
