The graduate course “Economics of Marine Natural Resource” was held at the first time in the Escola Politécnica of USP (POLI-Naval) to both Japanese and Brazilian students simultaneously e remotely. Prof. Mary Gasalla lectured the topics on Economics of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Ocean Governance, Climate Change Impacts, and Areas Beyond Natural Jurisdiction.

The initiative is part of “Brazil-Japan collaborative courses” and was coordinated by the Institute of Energy and the Environment (IEE-USP).
